Recently Andrew Moffat travelled to Dubai to join the Global Education and Skills Forum as a top ten finalist in the Varkey Foundation Global Teacher Prize. Mr Moffat was the only teacher from the UK chosen from thousands of applicants to represent the teaching profession in this prestigious award with a $1million prize.
While in Dubai Mr Moffat delivered a No Outsiders lesson to conference and contributed to panel discussions on equality and diversity in education. He met teachers from across the globe and was able to build professional contacts and share good practice with other delegates.
We would like to extend our congratulations to the eventual winner of the prize, Peter Tabichi, a teacher from Kenya and we hope he visits Parkfield School one day. Mr Moffat had a fantastic time with the other nine Global Teacher finalists and the host for the ceremony, Hugh Jackman. What a fantastic achievement and experience for Andrew. We are so proud to have him as part of our MAT team. Andrew will be available to support schools in all aspects of Personal Development from the Spring Term 2020. More details to follow in our Work With Us section.
